This is pages 40 and 41 of my copy of THE FAULT IN OUR STARS by John Green. I was reading it out loud to my fiancée when we came across a startling line. The narrating character receives a text message that says to meet her at the mall at 3:32. This evidently requires some kind of explanation, which surprised me, because doesn’t EVERYONE schedule things down to the minute OH WAIT THAT IS JUST HERE IN JAPAN WHERE PUBLIC TRANSPORT IS SO ON TIME THAT YOU COULD SET YOUR WRISTWATCH TO THE ARRIVAL OF TRAINS EXCEPT YOU CAN’T ACTUALLY BECAUSE NO ONE WEARS WRISTWATCHES ANYMORE EXCEPT AS A QUAINT ACCESSORY.
